If necessary, Paxton will commission newly constructed sash windows to the specifications of the weather-beaten originals, either as single-glazed or double- glazed replacements. These can be manufactured in softwood and hardwood as needed.

 

We can also reinstate sash windows to houses and offices which previously had them removed in favour of more ‘modern’ double glazing schemes.

 

In every case, you should consult with the Planning Officer or Conservation Officer at your local Council before changing a windows scheme, just to affirm that you are able to change your window scheme without acting contrary to policy, Conservation Area or Listing Building approval.

 

All Listed Buildings will, of course, require Listed Building Consent. Paxton will be please to collaborate and support the processes involved, as required.
